Every time I have uploaded a picture where my scars were visible, people have commented things such as, “look at the scars on her arm though /:” or “her scars :c” or something along the lines of that. It’s honestly just painful to read that because it just shows that this society does not believe that guys struggle with these issues. Whether it be depression, self-injury, anorexia, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, or whatever, boys can suffer from it, too. It’s not just girls. Mental illnesses do not discriminate. 
I am living proof of that.
